Printmaking is the art of carving a design into linoleum and putting ink on it. Then you press it onto paper and your design is copied over.
Hashim made this print, but I'm not sure what year it was created. I really like this print for the constrast in the background and the detail on the face.
In this print I really like how much the main flower stands out, but also the rough texture in the background.
Animalia is the artist for this print. I really like all the different interesting shapes in this print.
There are abstract birds incorporated in with other abstract things, and I really like abstract things. Animalia is the artist.
Icelandic Trees is the name of this print. I really like how the main tree blends in, but sticks out at the same time.
I really like owls so it makes me like this print named Hoot. I think this owl is very detailed and interesting.
Paule T.B. is the artist. I really like all the different people in this print.
Sophie is the artist for this print. I really like how much the heron stands out, and I think the radial background is really cool.
This print is very busy. I really like how the girl is very concentrated on something, and I really like the castle in the background. Also the texture of the road is interesting.
This flower is pretty simple, but it still has very good contrast.
The Ubiquitous Moon Over Mountains is a very cool print in my opinion. I really like nature scenes.
This print was made for a show named The Walking Man and the Moon. I really like how much the moon stands out and the detail on it.
Linocut cat is the name of this print. I like the look of the grasses and the wood walkway. Also I really like how the cat is not even turned this way.
This is another pretty simple print, but I really like how they make it look very busy on the bridge by using a lot of different shapes and lines.
April Holsteen is the artist for this print. I really like the dancers in this because they are very similar, but not exactly the same, just like real people would be.
Marianne Collins is the artist for this print. I really like how abstract this print is because this woman's face is actually a fingerprint.
This is Eagle Lake by John Cole. This is a rather dark print, but the moon really stands. I like the rhythm in the sky and on the lake.
This is a self portrait of Sebastian Frances. I really like how the face looks like its cracking. I also like how he made the face stand out by making the lines on it perpendicular to the ones in the background.
It's a little difficult to see this full print, but the detail in the leaves and branches are very fine. Also I believe the artist may have added some sort of flower petal before pressing.
This print is very busy. I can make out a woman in the center, but that is it. I thought this might be a good example of what a print that is too busy looks like.
