Timeline Project
Our first project was a timeline of major events that have happened in our lives. We started out with sketches of each event.
Here are four of my preliminary designs.
Here are four more of my designs.
The next thing we did was start sketching our designs onto receipt paper then we colored them. We were supposed to use a lot of color and hardly have any white space on the timeline.
This is a picture of my overall timeline. My materails are receit paper, color pencil, and glitter.
After everyone was done with their timelines we gave speeches telling about each event, the main colors, and our rhythm, (which are things that repeat or happen over and over again.) Then we wove all the timelines together somewhat like a quilt.
These are some of the timelines woven together.
On the far left of this photo is a yellow blob that was supposed to represent my birth. The next section in the first time I went to Calorado with my family. The final section is where I met and hung out with my best friend.
This is just one section which represents being a child during summer nights. It has fireworks at the left because I loved to watch the 4th of July showing. We also used to catch a lot of fireflies so I have a bug-catcher in the middle. At the right I have a fire because we loved to make campfires and s'mores.
The section on the left is the Clear Lake Yacht Club symbol with waves below it. This is for when I got involved in sailing. The next design is a volleyball wrapped in vines. It's when I became involved in volleyball in about 5th grade.
This photo has a musical line which has my lullaby on it. Then it has a heart that has been broken but is being repaired because I know that there will be sad, heart-breaking events in my future.
This is the end of my timeline. First it has a yellow and red cyclone and some school supplies because I will probably go to Iowa State for college. Next it has church bells because I'm planning on becoming married. Finally there is another explosion for my children's birth.
